An altar was a physical structure where the DIVINE and HUMAN worlds interacted. God recognized and responded to us through altar activity. The word altar in Hebrew means "to slaughter." This morning we'll begin a study on altars and then place our focus on how we are called to be a living sacrifice for God.

1. Submit to the altar and engage God in a relationship through the Word and in prayer.

2. Submit to the altar through your time, talent and treasure.

3. Submit to the altar by serving and meeting the needs of others.

4. Submit to the altar by making decisions founded in the Word and Spirit of God.

5. Submit to the altar by approaching conflict with all people in grace and truth (not fear/doubt).

6. Submit to the altar by place the needs of others above your own.

7. Submit to the altar by choosing trust/faith over worry/doubt.

8. Submit to the altar by raising Godly kids, loving your spouse and/or abstaining from unbiblical sexual encounters and/or thoughts.
