Introduction
Too many Christians live their lives like slaves because they believe the lies of the devil more than they trust God. His tactic is to deceive God's people into believing that we must do everything right in order to be accepted and have favor with God. He lures them into a legalistic view of life, making them "slaves" to their good works, because they believe this is what makes them righteous, or pleasing to God.
Jesus said that Satan was the “father of lies” (John 8:44). One of the biggest lies that he tells is that Jesus is not God. Let’s see what the Word says.

Note
John’s gospel was written to show the divinity of Jesus Christ and to show that He is the Son of God, God the Son.
He starts off by explaining that Jesus (the Word) was there in the beginning with God and that He was God from the beginning.

Note
From this one passage alone we can establish a foundation that Jesus is God. He is just as much God as He is man. How do we know?
1. He is called “God” by John the disciple. (John 1:1)
2. He is creator and make of all things. (v. 1, 10)
3. He is sustainer of all things. (v. 4, Heb. 1:3)
4. He is called “God” by Thomas. (John 20:28)
5. He is called God by God the Father. (Matthew 3:16-17; Mark 1:11; Hebrews 1:8)
6. He received worship, and only God is to be worshipped. (Matthew 14:33)
7. He forgives sin. Only God can forgive sin. (Mark 2:5-11)
8. He claimed to have “all power in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). Only God has all power (Psalm 62:11)

The claims that Jesus made either make Him a liar, a lunatic or He’s the Lord.
If His claims were false, then there are two alternatives: He was intentionally deceptive, or He was insanely delusional. If His claims were true, that means that He is the Lord.

NACA Home-buying Seminar
The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ("NACA") is a non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization. NACA’s primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable homeownership. NACA has made the dream of homeownership a reality for thousands of working people by counseling them honestly and effectively, enabling even those with poor credit to purchase a home or refinance a predatory loan with far better terms than those provided even in the prime market.
On Saturday, April 30th at 10 AM, representatives from NACA will be available to provide prospective home-buyers with information that can help get them well on their way to home ownership. Registration is required, but free. Seats fill up fast. Sign up today at naca.com!
