BODY NEWS

DOVER PARADE OUTREACH
Anna and I would like to thank the Float Committee and others who helped when they could for all their dedicated and hard work in making the Noah's Ark float that we used in the parade Sunday afternoon. The team made 10,000 flowers and individually wired them on. They also put together over 1500 handouts that were passed out to the community. Several times during the parade, bystanders would clap, shout thank yous and did recognize it as being Noah’s Ark. Praise the Lord for giving us great weather and for allowing us to reach into our community!

DOVER ASSEMBLY HOODIES
Yes, it’s that time again. Time to break out the fall & winter clothes. If you do not have a Dover Assembly hoodie and you would like to add one to your cold weather collection, please stop by the Information Center and place your order. The cost is $22 per hoodie.

In our desire to bless our community, we are collecting gently used or new winter coats that we can donate to New Life for Girls and New Hope Ministries. Many people in our area are in need of help during the cold winter months and we at Dover Assembly of God Church would like to be a blessing to them. Thank you for helping us be Jesus' hand extended to the Dover Community! Boxes for coats will be placed in the upper and lower foyers. (if anyone attending our church is in a financial need of a winter coat, please see Pastor Jeff or Anna)

COLLEGE STUDENT UPDATE
Please see the printed bulletin for contact the church for college student addresses.

We are in the process of collecting “goodies” for a care package to mail to each of these students. We would like to be able bless each of these with a full box of stuff! I encourage everyone to please see Gladys Johnston as to what items we need. Gift Cards for grocery/food/snack shopping i.e. WalMart, Target are always welcome! Please turn them in to Pastor Jeff, Anna or Gladys Johnston.

Knowledge is the ability to take something apart, wisdom is the ability to put it back together.
When James says ask for wisdom, he means exactly that. God, how do you want me to react in this? Is there something you are trying to teach me?
If God has promised something to us in His word, His wisdom will direct us there.
If we insist on working out our problems by ourselves, God cannot work it out for you.
Instead of us instantly reacting in our natural ways, why not give it to God and get his viewpoint on it?
If you are a Christian, you have the blessings of God and the future hope of eternal life. You have God as your dad who is perfect.
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. ~ Jim Elliot
J. Vernon McGee says that the book of proverbs is like the University of Wisdom and the book of James is the University of Hard Knocks.

We're all in that school today. It's designed to make us mature believers.
God will test us to see if our faith is real.

If we love God in the good times, but abandon him in the hard times, then we don’t really have a faith.
If we are children of God we can have the confidence that whatever it is, God is in control and He will give us the wisdom we need in each and every situation and will keep us to the end.
When faith is tested and surrounded by darkness, when the waves are rolling high and all seems lost, the child of God knows that this is not the end. It may be gloom now, but it will be glory later.
