The Provision of God
Isaiah 40:27-31
God’s child can ‘Keep Calm’ in all circumstances as we experience the provision of God. In Isaiah 40:27-41, we discover 2 aspects of God’s provision which should serve as an encouragement to us in times of trial.
I. The name of our provider: The LORD (vv. 27-28).

A. He is everlasting.

B. He is creator.

C. He is sufficient.
II. The nature of our provision: He gives strength (vv. 29-31).
- The LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. (Psalm 84:11)
- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)
- His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided –
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Remember to Pray: For Ben & Erin H. whose child is due on May 7...That God will protect our medical workers from Covid-19 as they carry out their work...for the Board of Elders as they guide the search process forward...for our teachers, students and families as the school year draws to a close...for Mike & Heidi R. as they continue to care for Heidi's father in their home...for Nik H. and Chase V. as they serve our nation in the US Army overseas....for those planning for this year's VVBS (Virtual Vacation Bible School)...that all those in our congregation who fall into the 'at risk' demographic will be able to steer clear of the coronavirus...for those who have or who are anticipating a loss of income as 'non-essential' businesses remain closed through the end of the month...for our president, governor and other elected officials as the weight of many decisions which impact the lives of millions rest upon their shoulders...for our missionaries who are experiencing the challenges presented by Covid-19 in places far removed from their family support systems.
The Board of Elders will be meeting this afternoon at 5:00 pm. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to guide the search for an Associate Pastor forward.
Our Sympathy to the Seth & Sarah C. family upon the death of Seth's grandmother, Arlene C. Arlene passed away early on Tuesday morning, April 28 at the age of 95. Arlene served as the Postmaster of the Dewey Post Office until her retirement in 1992 and she was a friend to the Dewey community and of the Dewey Church for many years. Please keep the entire family in your prayers as they grieve her passing.
Welcome to Jonathan & Jane H. who have been received into the membership of the Dewey Community Church by the Board of Elders. We look forward to the day when the congregation meet together and welcome them corporately, publicly and formally into the fellowship of DCC,
