WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL ANNOUNCEMENT
After prayer and careful consideration, we have decided to bring the Wednesday night meal ministry to a close. We will continue to re-visit and re-evaluate this ministry as time and the need presents itself. We want to thank all those who helped make this ministry a great success. Thank you Gladys, Laura, Kathy Jo, June, Donna, Michelle and all who contributed to making and serving the meals. We appreciate your help and dedication.

Please note that our Wednesday evening services begin at 6:30. Children and Youth ministry leaders and staff will be preparing their rooms for class and are not available to monitor children before 6:25. Thank you for your cooperation.

COLLEGE STUDENT ADDRESSES
Please see the printed bulletin or contact the church for college student addresses.

We are in the process of collecting “goodies” for a care package to mail to each of these students. We would like to be able bless each of these with a full box of stuff! I encourage everyone to please see Gladys Johnston as to what items we need. Gift Cards for grocery/food/snack shopping i.e. WalMart, Target are always welcome! Please turn them in to Pastor Jeff, Anna or Gladys Johnston.

The book of James was written in 45-50 AD, about 12-17 years after the resurrection of Christ. Many scholars believe it was one of the first books of the New Testament written.
Acts of the Apostles 12:1-2 NLT

Acts of the Apostles 15:12-14 NLT

Acts of the Apostles 21:18 NLT

Because we are God’s scattered people, not God’s sheltered people, we will experience trouble. -Warren Wiersbe
Acts of the Apostles 14:22 NLT

When we are tested, and we endure, we grow and we mature, God is the one who says we did a good job.
God wants us to see that our faith is real and it is something that can withstand the test.
Paul tells of 3 works that God does to make a mature Christian.

~ The work that God does for us - Salvation
~ The work that God does in us - Sanctification
~ The work that God does thru us - Service

These must occur in that order. We can’t be sanctified until we are saved and God can’t really use us until he works in us.

Thanks for joining us!
