(Ephesians 6:4 Amp) Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by showing favoritism or indifference to any of them], but bring them up [tenderly, with loving-kindness] in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
(Ephesians 6:4 TLB) And now a word to you parents. Don’t keep on scolding and nagging your children, making them angry and resentful. Rather, bring them up with the loving discipline the Lord himself approves, with suggestions and godly advice.

(Proverbs 23:13-14 NKJV) Don’t be afraid to correct your young ones; a spanking won’t kill them. A good spanking, in fact, might save them from something worse than death.
(Proverbs 22:15 NLT) A youngster’s heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far away
(Proverbs 13:24 NLT) Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them.
