Pay Day Is Coming!

One day, boot camp on Earth will be over. There won’t be a Sergeant hovering over us, and a military force won’t issue our rank. Only you will determine how you passed the course. Make every day you have count for Jesus!

There is a beautiful old-time hymn, “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior!” We don’t want to live in Earth’s boot camp to discover at the end that He did not know us.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV

Keep focused with these great scriptures:

• “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man
  the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
• “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24 NKJV
• “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:2-3 NKJV
• "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NKJV

Prayer: Lord God, I pray over each of these who have read this month-long devotion, that we each will take our life on Earth as if we were in boot camp training. The military is tough on each individual because it can be a matter of life or death. God, how we choose to live here will determine our eternity, either with or without You! Help these to choose You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
