Every Day Is A Page In Your Story!
I opened a Dove chocolate, and inside the wrapping was printed, “Do you get lost in the pages of your story? I stopped and pondered that. At times, we may feel a little lost, especially when going through a difficult situation, but God doesn’t want us to live our lives in a state of confusion. John 10:10b tells us that He came to give life and life more abundant..
Many scriptures tell us that God wants us to live with joy, live rejoicing. God even wants us to have joy on our days of feeling lost. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.” James 1:2 NKJV
We have one life here on Earth, and God wants us to make it count. He doesn’t want us wasting our days, for they are numbered.“Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. Look away from him that he may rest, till like a hired man he finishes his day.” Job 14:5-6 NKJV
In the days of Noah, man lived hundreds of years. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” Genesis 6:3 NKJV.
Sometime between then and the writing of Psalm 90:10, the life span changed to seventy or even eighty years. “So teach us to number our days ,that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”Psalm 90:12 NKJV
We get great wisdom from Paul:“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” Ephesians 5:15-16 NLT
Are our days filled with love or bitterness, joy or negativity, helping or expecting to be helped, reflecting His image or our own?
Starting tonight, why don’t we take a moment to reflect on what we did this day? When we turn the page to tomorrow, our chance for yesterday is gone. At the end of life’s journey, I want my book to read well. How about you?
Prayer: Lord, there is one book I want my name in, and that is the Lamb’s Book of Life; may the pages of my days please you. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
About this Plan

Compared to eternity, life on earth is but a short time. The world is home to an estimated 722,000 centenarians (age 100), according to the United Nations’ population projections for 2024. That is, .02 to .03% of the world’s population. Whether we die young or live to be old, what we do in between will matter. Living here is boot camp training to qualify for heaven!
