Speak Forth His Word!

One thing I hope we all learn as we travel through Earth’s boot camp is to speak forth the Word of God! God spoke things into existence, and I believe we have that power as well, both for good and for bad, over our lives. If we constantly dwell on negative things, I think we will live a life filled with negativity. However, as we focus on the goodness in our lives, I believe we will live in goodness.

One of the most important things God tried to convey to the Israelites was the importance of teaching children about the Lord and His laws at a young age. We are commanded in His Word to talk about and repeat these things to our children over and over, and to do so, we have to speak them forth!

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NKJV

If every parent and every generation did as the Lord instructed, our world would be a much better place today!

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” NKJV. During life’s boot camp, realize that the power of what you speak forth comes out of your mouth.

We are told in Mark 11:23 that if we don’t doubt in our heart, but believe what we speak to take place, it will happen. This, of course, refers to things that align with the Word of God, not some magical, wish-list material.

The sooner we learn to pray God’s Word and even speak it back to Him as a reminder that we are standing on His promises, the easier boot camp gets, for God’s Word is living and active!

Prayer: Lord, help us as we believe Your Word, to pray it over our loved ones, over situations that arise, and speak it forth as a reminder that we are trusting You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
