Earth Is Heaven's BootcampNäide

If The World Had The Mind Of Christ!
In the 1990s, a catchy phrase gained popularity, and people even wore rubber wristbands with "WWJD" imprinted on them. However, it didn’t begin in that decade, but was first born in the early 1900s after the novel "In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do" was published. Charles Sheldon authored the book.
When we ask ourselves that question, it is like inviting Him into our day and asking, “How would Jesus handle what I’m dealing with?”
For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. I Corinthians 2:16 NKJV
Romans 12:2 reminds us that we are not of this world, so we should not conform our minds to it, but be transformed by the renewal of our minds. We shouldn’t think or act like the world does.
Many of our lessons throughout this boot camp devotion tie in to one another. To have the mind of Christ, we need to be submissive, obedient, reverent, thankful, in prayer, in His Word, be alert, guard our minds and hearts, be bold and courageous, resilient, and so on. This may seem like a lot and challenging, but boot camp is a training ground, and the more we seek Him, the more we will become like Him.
Don’t take this the wrong way; this in no way implies that we are little gods running around acting like our Lord, instead living our everyday life in His image, with Him as our number one priority!
Look for ways to serve Him daily! That doesn’t mean we have to go to the ends of the Earth (although some are called to do just that). It means being present with Him daily. If you see someone heading into a building before you, reach out, grab the door, and greet them with a smile. The world needs kindness restored.
Prayer: Lord, we acknowledge that the world needs You, just as we do every day. One of the most significant ways for the world to see you is through our acts of kindness. Help us to walk in the way that Jesus would have us walk. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

About this Plan

Compared to eternity, life on earth is but a short time. The world is home to an estimated 722,000 centenarians (age 100), according to the United Nations’ population projections for 2024. That is, .02 to .03% of the world’s population. Whether we die young or live to be old, what we do in between will matter. Living here is boot camp training to qualify for heaven!
