While he was with them, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. “Which,” he said, “you have heard me speak about; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit in a few days.” So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time? ” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

Infinitum is a way of life centered on following Jesus by loving God and loving others through an emphasis on the habits and disciplines of surrender, generosity, and mission. We aim to see the Bible and also the world through these Jesus-colored lenses. This short reading plan is based on the Infinitum component, Mission.
Missions have always been in the heart of the Heavenly Father. He sent His own Son, Jesus, to tell the world about the Good News of God’s love. Jesus prepared His disciples and gave them the Holy Spirit to empower them and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. Today, as children of God, we are empowered with the Holy Spirit to be bold to love.
Isolation ≠ seclusion. In isolation, fear is loud; in seclusion, God is heard. Where are you standing in this season of uncertainty: behind the closed doors of fear or in the waiting room of God's sovereignty? As with the disciples, God can change our lives in one visit, but He needs a private moment with us first. Make room for seclusion and God will intercede!
The book of Acts is the exciting story of the advance of God's Kingdom in the early days of the church. Today, the book of Acts is still happening in many places around the world. This reading plan links stories from Acts in the Bible with real stories today.
