30 Days of Praying for Children and FamiliesSample

Hope is a word we use often. But not all hope is the same. Some hope is fragile – uncertain, wavering, a longing for something that may never come.
But the hope we have in Christ is different. It is certain. It is secure. It is the kind of hope that began on the first Easter morning, when Jesus rose from the dead, victorious over sin and death.
This hope is not just a feeling. It is a promise. Jesus spoke these words to His disciples: “My Father’s house has many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2, NIV)
He has made a way for us. A home is being prepared. And one day, he will return to bring us there.
But hope is not only for the future. The Church is called to be a sign of this hope now, in every community where God has placed us. Around us, there are children in need of a place to belong. Families who feel isolated, alone, and without support. If Jesus prepares a place for us, how can we do the same for others?
Prayer
Each time you put your keys in your door, pause and pray. Thank God for the home you have and ask him to show you who needs a place of welcome – a child in need of family, or a neighbour longing for connection.
Lord, as You prepare a place for us, help us prepare a place for others.
Help us to make our churches into places of welcome – where children find homes, where families find support, where hope is lived out.
