30 Days of Praying for Children and FamiliesSample

This month, we’ve spent time dwelling on building God’s kingdom here on earth.
But our passage today invites us to look beyond the here and now – and take a glimpse into eternity.
It’s a beautiful image of God making his home amongst his people, once and for all.
Consider God’s promises: that he will dwell with us and make us his people. As a caring Father, he will wipe every tear from our eyes.
Who in your life needs to hear this today? Who is in the depths of mourning, crying, or pain? Who can you share this hope with – and cry with them, longing together for God to make all things new?
Prayer
Today, take time to slowly pray through the Lord’s prayer.
When you reach “your kingdom come”, pray with confidence that one day God will make all things new and establish his kingdom fully and finally.
Now, repeating that line, pray that God would establish his kingdom in this land, in your community, in your street.
Pray “your kingdom come” over the 39,000 children and young people who will enter care this year. Pray over the hundreds of thousands of families facing isolation.
Ask for God’s intervention and that he will bring renewal.
Thank him that his plan is bigger than we can see, and more wonderful than we can hope.
