30 Days of Scriptures for Mental Health StrugglesSample

Day 8: God Hears You
If I’m honest, sometimes I wondered if my prayers were being heard by God while I was struggling with my mental health. 1 John 5:14-15 NIV helped me understand that I can have confidence when I pray to God because it confirms that “if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
I need to know that God heard my cries through prayer, and it offered me great comfort to understand that He does hear me. In the scripture, “He hears us” is stated twice, which demonstrates that God does indeed hear us.
Therefore, I want to encourage you to approach God’s throne through prayer with confidence, knowing that He hears you, too. Also, know that it is in His will for you to prosper, meaning that your struggles are temporary (2 Corinthians 4:17-18;1 Peter 5:10).
Prayer point:
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, thank you for saying in your Word that I can approach you in prayer with confidence, knowing that you hear me. Help me pray according to your will with the faith that I have in what I pray to you for. Please help me overcome my mental health struggles. Thank you for hearing me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
