Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day Devotional

DAY 8 OF 30

Day 8 – Making the Bible Relevant for Kids

Scripture: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)

Reflection

The Bible is powerful, but for kids it can sometimes feel far away or hard to understand. Our role as parents is to bring it close to them and show that God’s Word speaks into their everyday lives. The Bible is full of real people who trusted God in real situations, and those stories connect with the same struggles our kids face today.

When we link a verse or story to something they are going through, the Word becomes alive. For example, if your child feels afraid, remind them how David trusted God against Goliath. If they feel left out, talk about Joseph and how God never forgot him. Scripture is not just a book of old stories, it is a guide for today.

Biblical Affirmation for Your Children

“My children love God’s Word and see it come alive in their daily lives.”

Prayer

Father, thank You for Your Word that is alive and true. Help me to make it simple and relatable for my children so they see how much You care for them. May Your truth take root in their hearts and grow strong. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step for Parents

Pick one verse that matches something your child is facing today. Share it with them in a simple way and talk about what it means.
