Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 13 – Storytelling and Passing Down Testimonies
Scripture: “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” – Psalm 145:4 (NIV)
Reflection
Children love stories, and one of the most powerful ways to pass down faith is through storytelling. The Bible is full of stories of God’s faithfulness, but our children also need to hear the stories of how God has worked in our own lives. When we share our testimonies, we make God real to them.
Telling our kids about answered prayers, times God provided, or moments He brought peace in difficulty reminds them that God is alive and active. These stories build their faith and show them that God is not just the God of the Bible, but also the God of today.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will grow up knowing the stories of God’s faithfulness and power.”
Prayer
Lord, help me to share my stories of Your goodness with my children. Remind me that my testimony can build their faith and show them who You are. May our home be filled with stories of Your love and power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Share one personal testimony with your children today. Tell them about a time when God answered a prayer or showed His faithfulness in your life.
