Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 17 – Preparing Children for School Challenges
Scripture: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
Reflection
School can be a challenging place for kids. They face pressure to fit in, make good grades, and navigate difficult situations. As parents, we cannot walk into every classroom with them, but we can prepare them to face challenges with courage and faith.
God promises to be with our children wherever they go. Reminding them of this truth gives them confidence. When we pray with them before school, speak life into them, and equip them with scripture, we are sending them out with courage. Our job is not to remove every challenge but to teach them how to trust God in the middle of them.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children are strong and courageous because God is always with them.”
Prayer
Lord, go with my children into every classroom, hallway, and playground. Give them courage to face challenges with faith and confidence. Remind them that they are never alone because You are always with them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Before school this week, pray a short prayer of courage over your child. Remind them that God is with them everywhere they go.
