Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalSample

Day 19 – Courage to Stand Out for Jesus
Scripture: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14 (NIV)
Reflection
One of the hardest things for kids is feeling different. Standing out can feel scary, but as followers of Jesus, we are called to be light. That means there will be times when our children look, think, or act differently from the crowd.
We can help them see that standing out is not something to be ashamed of. It is something to be proud of because it shows the world Jesus through their lives. When they choose honesty, kindness, or faith in difficult situations, they are shining light in darkness.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will shine as lights in the world, even when it means standing apart.”
Prayer
Lord, give my children courage to live boldly for You, even when it is not popular. Remind them that they are Your light in this world. Strengthen them to stand for truth with love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Talk with your child about one situation where they may need to make a godly choice even if it feels unpopular. Pray with them for courage.
