Sometimes, God uses unexpected moments to bring us back to Him. Recently, I hadn’t been spending as much time with God as I knew I should. Then, out of nowhere, I got a call in the middle of class that my dad was in the ER after getting hurt at work. Immediately, my mind jumped to the worst-case scenario. Fear took over. But in that moment, I happened to open the verse for this day of the devotional series—and it instantly changed the whole situation for me. Everything shifted. I realized that in my distress, I had a choice: to hold onto panic or to give it to God. The fear didn’t disappear instantly, but I did feel peace. I could trust that God was with me, working in ways I couldn’t yet see.
Is there something weighing on you right now? Take a deep breath, pray, and remind yourself that you don’t have to carry it alone. God is with you, ready to give you peace.
