Eating and drinking for God’s glory might sound strange, but you have an opportunity to practice it every day. Whether you’re in the lunchroom, in the car, or at the dinner table with your family and friends, you have an opportunity to show the love of Jesus to those around you by the attitude you have when you do things. Maybe you prefer to eat by yourself in your room. If that’s you, you can still glorify God by living with gratitude for the hands that prepared it and the fact that you have it. What Paul’s saying is don’t allow the simple moments of your everyday life to be ones where you’re not thinking of how to love others. When he says “whatever you do,” he literally means whatever. Everything. This week, how can you use your meal times to bring people together rather than push them apart?
