The Gospel of MarkSample

Verses 45 to 52 tell yet another famous story from the life of Jesus. The disciples are sent, across the sea, to continue their ministry in the next town. They encounter a horrible storm and are terrified by an unexpected visit from Jesus. The end of this story calls out something interesting about the disciples' hearts. Even after the miracles and ministry they witnessed, they still have hearts that are hardened against the wonders of Jesus. The message version put it this way, “None of this had yet penetrated their hearts.”
As you reflect on this story today, take time to notice what God is doing around you. it says in psalms, prepare a place for the Lord in your heart. Ask God to penetrate your heart with the things He is doing all around you.
