Redemption

DAY 6 OF 6

SEALED Entering Day 6, Ephesians 1:13 introduces the sealing of believers by the Holy Spirit. As we explore this powerful truth, let the assurance settle in that our redemption is not frail or feeble. Instead, it is an eternal bond, a seal that connects us unshakably to God, ensuring we are His possession and destined for an eternal home with Him. " And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit." - Ephesians 1:13 NET A lot of believers are not assured of their new estate as God's children. They think their redemption is something frail and feeble. But on the contrary, our redemption is more sure and solid than we can imagine. In our text, the Apostle assures us that we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. The cords that bind us to God are as eternal as the Holy Spirit by whom we were sealed. It's not a frail or feeble redemption. We are God's possession, not just for a while or when we are at our best. Rather, in all seasons and phases of life, throughout our journey in this world, we will carry about the seal that we are God's own and that we are deeply and eternally connected to the Father-God. Being sealed by the Holy Spirit is proof and assurance that we are citizens of heaven and that when Christ returns at His second coming, He will in no way leave us behind but will take us to where we belong-- eternally at home with Him. What a blessed assurance that Jesus is ours and we are His. Glory to God! In conclusion, may the profound truths of redemption echo in your heart. From the blotting out of offenses to the peace and sealing we find in Christ, let these revelations anchor you in the assurance of God's transformative love. Forgiven, healed, at peace, and sealed with the confidence that you are eternally His. Amen.
