DAY 5 OF 6

PEACE WITH GOD On Day 5, the journey takes us to Romans 5:1, where the declaration of righteousness by faith brings us an incredible gift—peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Embrace the revelation that, in Christ, fear has no place, and we stand in God's delight. This is a journey from running and hiding to confidently dwelling in the presence of our Heavenly Father. "Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." - Romans 5:1 NET Ever since man fell, he lost his sense of peace and security. He could no longer approach God or stand before Him in boldness. We know that when Adam sinned, he ran into hiding when he heard God approaching him in the garden (Genesis 3:10) . Man because of his sin runs from God or at best looks for a way to appease Him through self-righteous works, penance, or sacrifices. But sadly, none of these methods would work. His sins are too grave. It took the Precious Son of God to act as a mediator between God and man to reconcile them both in perfect peace and harmony. In our text, we see that through Christ we have peace with God. We who are washed with the blood of Jesus can now stand and approach God without fear of judgment. We have peace with God. God is no longer angry with us. Not just that, God has also lost the ability to be angry with us. We have become His delight. We who were afar off, lost in sin, and under the wrath of God are now part of His household, righteous before Him, and His Presence dwells in us. There is no more fear in our hearts. There should be no more fear in the heart of a blood-washed man. Fear is of the devil. We are now God's delight. No amount of sacrifice could have made us have peace with God. No amount of good deed will be sufficient. But our Mediator—Christ Jesus—has offered Himself as sacrifice on our behalf and God has accepted it. Therefore, no more sacrifice is required to be accepted by God, for we have been accepted in Christ. When God accepted the offering of Christ, God also accepted us. Friends, God is at peace with us. We are no more trying to appease God, rather we are pleasing to Him here and now. In this, our hearts greatly rejoice. Hallelujah!
