Who You Say I Am - Part 3Sampl

When you think about God’s forgiveness for sin, have you ever found yourself wondering, “Ok, does that mean I can do whatever I want and then just ask for forgiveness after?” That maybe God’s forgiveness is a bit like a free pass to do whatever you want anyway?
Paul answers this very question in the book of Romans, chapter 6. (That’s our reading for today!)
Being alive with Christ means leaving sin behind altogether. Sin doesn’t have free reign in our lives anymore. We are alive with Christ and our life with Him means we are 100%, 24/7, living an all-in life for Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross He took the punishment for sin once and for all and He rose again defeating death. He can’t die again; sin and death have no power.
Yes, we make mistakes. We’re not perfect. But through Jesus we don’t live a “sin life”, our old way of living is dead and gone. Sin separates us from God but through Jesus we are made right. We are alive with Christ!
See what Paul says about forgiveness in today’s verses.
