1012 BC Starting in his fourth year Solomon builds the temple. It is not big: 30 m by 10 m by 15 m high. For the inner sanctuary he has two cherubim carved, five meters high each with a wingspan of five meters. Everything is overlaid with gold. He also advises on building life: ‘do not forsake wisdom ... rejoice in the wife of your youth.’
