Matthew Explained Part 1 | The Coming of the KingSampl

The Anointing of the King
Before Jesus could take the throne, he first had to be anointed as a symbol of power. His crowning, his anointing, didn’t take place in a palace or in the temple; rather it took place at a river in the desert. Matthew 3 reveals this anointing, and introduces us to one of the most interesting characters in the story of Jesus – John the Baptist.
