Wedi iddo beido bita dim byd am ddeigen dwarnod a deigen nos wedd e'n llwgu, a dâth i Jiawl ato a gweu 'tho, “Os crwt Duw wit ti, gwe'tho'r cerrig 'ma i droi'n fara.” Ond atebo Iesu, “Gâs 'i reito, ‘Ma ishe mwy na dim ond bara ar ddyn; rhaid câl pob gair ma Duw wedi'u weud.’” Wedyn cwmrodd i Jawl e i'r Ddinas Sanctedd, a'i roi e lawr i sefyll ar bart ucha'r demel, a gweu 'tho, “Os taw Crwt Duw wit ti, towla di unan bant; achos gâs 'i reito, 'Bydd e'n rhoi gwbod i'w angilion shwt i ddrych ar di ôl di, biddan nhwy'n gafel indo ti â'u dwylo fel bo ti ddim hyd 'n ôd in bwrw di bys di drwed in erbyn carreg.”
