Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25 NKJV).
What should you do during life’s storms?
The disciples had just participated in their first miracle with Jesus, the feeding of the 5,000. Immediately, Jesus made His disciples get into a boat and sends them away as he himself goes up on a mountain and prays. The disciples experience a storm, and we find that after Jesus had left them struggling in the storm for a while, he comes to them walking on the water (Matthew 14:22-25). Our Lord demonstrates His deity by walking upon the water.
What do you do during a storm of life? Do you turn to the one and the only one who can calm the storm? That was the lesson that they needed to learn. We need to look to Him during the storms of life. Often, we get distracted, focusing on the storm rather than focusing upon the One who controls them.
Employment Point: Believe Jesus’ Word during a storm.

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
