Praying From Paul's Lettersনমুনা

Jesus Christ, Name Above All Names
"Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name.” (Philippians 2:9, ESV)
Prayer
Jesus Christ, we exalt You! Lamb of God, we exalt You! Savior of the world, we exalt You! King of Kings and Lord of Lords, we exalt You! There is power in the name of Jesus! You have defeated Satan, sin, hell, and death forever! Blessed be Your glorious name!
Lord Jesus, we are thrilled to be in Your family. You displayed obedience to the Father on the cross. You embodied humility, justice, and mercy. We are overwhelmed by Your love and grace!
Whether we are on the mountaintop or in the valley, let our hearts rejoice, for we are found in Christ! Whether we have much or we have little, help us to rest in the peace You gained for us on the cross. Our hearts are made right before God, and we have peace with God forever. That is reason to rejoice, no matter how dark the clouds overhead.
May we run to You with our prayers and leave them at the foot of the cross, remembering that You have already defeated the greatest evil there ever was or ever will be. Help us to release our burdens into Your gentle and strong hands. Cover us in Your peace, which passes all understanding. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Let our thoughts return to You again and again, remembering all that You are—goodness, purity, truth, justice, righteousness, love, excellence, and honor. Let our hearts and minds swirl around the beauty of Your character and gaze upon the lovely facets of Your nature that sparkle like diamonds glittering in the light of day.
When our thoughts drift to evil or sadness or distractions—or ourselves—shake us and reset our minds on Christ. Let the wonder of heaven envelop us and hold our hearts close to You, for you are good. You are awesome; You are worthy of our utmost worship. In Your name, Amen.
