Romans 12:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use
Romans 12:4 New Century Version (NCV)
Each one of us has a body with many parts, and these parts all have different uses.
Romans 12:4-6a The Message (MSG)
In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.
Romans 12:4 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function
Romans 12:4 New Living Translation (NLT)
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function
Romans 12:4 King James Version (KJV)
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office
Romans 12:4 American Standard Version (ASV)
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office
Romans 12:4 New International Version (NIV)
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function
Romans 12:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function
Romans 12:4 The Passion Translation (TPT)
In the human body there are many parts and organs, each with a unique function.
