“Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice, apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you.”

In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment for you against her!”

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth.”

Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes.

In your streets flowed the blood of the prophets and of God’s holy people and the blood of people slaughtered all over the world.”

Rejoice over her, heaven, and you saints, apostles, and prophets,  because God has pronounced on her the judgment  she passed on you!

In her was found the blood of prophets and saints,  and of all those slaughtered on the earth.

Silent the music of harpists and singers— you’ll never hear flutes and trumpets again. Artisans of every kind—gone; you’ll never see their likes again. The voice of a millstone grinding falls dumb; you’ll never hear that sound again. The light from lamps, never again; never again laughter of bride and groom. Her traders robbed the whole earth blind, and by black-magic arts deceived the nations. The only thing left of Babylon is blood— the blood of saints and prophets, the murdered and the martyred.

Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.”

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints (God’s people) and apostles and prophets [who were martyred], because God has executed vengeance for you [through righteous judgment] upon her.” [Is 44:23; Jer 51:48, 49]

And in Babylon was found the blood of prophets and of saints (God’s people) and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.” [Gen 4:10; Jer 51:49]

The blood of the saints and prophets was found in her, along with the blood of all those who had been killed on the earth.”
