The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory. All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods! Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, LORD. For you, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.

The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; worship him, all you gods! Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of your judgments, O LORD. For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. O you who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

The LORD is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest coastlands be glad. Dark clouds surround him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire spreads ahead of him and burns up all his foes. His lightning flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness; every nation sees his glory. Those who worship idols are disgraced— all who brag about their worthless gods— for every god must bow to him. Jerusalem has heard and rejoiced, and all the towns of Judah are glad because of your justice, O LORD! For you, O LORD, are supreme over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods. You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.

Let the earth rejoice; let the many coasts and islands be glad.  Clouds and total darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.  Fire goes before him and burns up his foes on every side.  His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.  The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the  LORD  — at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.  The heavens proclaim his righteousness;  all the peoples see his glory.  All who serve carved images, those who boast in worthless idols, will be put to shame.  All the gods  must worship him.  Zion hears and is glad, Judah’s villages  rejoice because of your judgments,  LORD.  For you, LORD, are the Most High over the whole earth; you are exalted above all the gods.  You who love the  LORD, hate evil!  He protects the lives of his faithful ones;  he rescues them from the power of the wicked.  Light dawns  , for the righteous, gladness for the upright in heart.

A fire goeth before him, And burneth up his enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the world: The earth saw, and trembled. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, And all the people see his glory. Confounded be all they that serve graven images, That boast themselves of idols: Worship him, all ye gods. Zion heard, and was glad; And the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: Thou art exalted far above all gods. Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

GOD rules: there’s something to shout over! On the double, mainlands and islands—celebrate! Bright clouds and storm clouds circle ’round him; Right and justice anchor his rule. Fire blazes out before him, Flaming high up the craggy mountains. His lightnings light up the world; Earth, wide-eyed, trembles in fear. The mountains take one look at GOD And melt, melt like wax before earth’s Lord. The heavens announce that he’ll set everything right, And everyone will see it happen—glorious! All who serve handcrafted gods will be sorry— And they were so proud of their ragamuffin gods! On your knees, all you gods—worship him! And Zion, you listen and take heart! Daughters of Zion, sing your hearts out: GOD has done it all, has set everything right. You, GOD, are High God of the cosmos, Far, far higher than any of the gods. GOD loves all who hate evil, And those who love him he keeps safe, Snatches them from the grip of the wicked. Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people, Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil.

The LORD reigns, may the earth rejoice; May the many islands be joyful. Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him And burns up His enemies all around. His lightning lit up the world; The earth saw it and trembled. The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory. ¶May all those be ashamed who serve carved images, Who boast in idols; Worship Him, all you gods. Zion heard this and was joyful, And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced Because of Your judgments, LORD. For You are the LORD Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. ¶Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who watches over the souls of His godly ones; He saves them from the hand of the wicked. Light is sown like seed for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands and coastlands be glad. Clouds and thick darkness surround Him [as at Sinai]; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. [Ex 19:9] Fire goes before Him And burns up His adversaries on all sides. His lightnings have illuminated the world; The earth has seen and trembled. The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory and brilliance. ¶Let all those be [deeply] ashamed who serve carved images, Who boast in idols. Worship Him, all you gods! [Heb 1:6] Zion heard this and was glad, And the daughters (cities) of Judah rejoiced [in relief] Because of Your judgments, O LORD. For You are the LORD Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. ¶You who love the LORD, hate evil; He protects the souls of His godly ones (believers), He rescues them from the hand of the wicked. [Rom 8:13-17] Light is sown [like seed] for the righteous and illuminates their path, And [irrepressible] joy [is spread] for the upright in heart [who delight in His favor and protection].

The LORD reigns! Let the earth be happy! Let the many coastlands rejoice! Dark clouds surround him; equity and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him; on every side it burns up his enemies. His lightning bolts light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of the whole earth. The sky declares his justice, and all the nations see his splendor. All who worship idols are ashamed, those who boast about worthless idols. All the gods bow down before him. Zion hears and rejoices, the towns of Judah are happy, because of your judgments, O LORD. For you, O LORD, are the sovereign king over the whole earth; you are elevated high above all gods. You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his faithful followers; he delivers them from the power of the wicked. The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy.
