Psalms 90:4,12-15
Psalms 90:4 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.
Psalms 90:12-15 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. Do return, O LORD; how long will it be? And be sorry for Your servants. O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, And the years we have seen evil.
Psalms 90:3-11 The Message (MSG)
So don’t return us to mud, saying, “Back to where you came from!” Patience! You’ve got all the time in the world—whether a thousand years or a day, it’s all the same to you. Are we no more to you than a wispy dream, no more than a blade of grass That springs up gloriously with the rising sun and is cut down without a second thought? Your anger is far and away too much for us; we’re at the end of our rope. You keep track of all our sins; every misdeed since we were children is entered in your books. All we can remember is that frown on your face. Is that all we’re ever going to get? We live for seventy years or so (with luck we might make it to eighty), And what do we have to show for it? Trouble. Toil and trouble and a marker in the graveyard. Who can make sense of such rage, such anger against the very ones who fear you?
Psalms 90:12-17-12-17 The Message (MSG)
Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! Come back, GOD—how long do we have to wait?— and treat your servants with kindness for a change. Surprise us with love at daybreak; then we’ll skip and dance all the day long. Make up for the bad times with some good times; we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime. Let your servants see what you’re best at— the ways you rule and bless your children. And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!
Psalms 90:4 King James Version (KJV)
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday When it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psalm 90:12-15 King James Version (KJV)
So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil.

For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.
Psalms 90:12-15 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)

Psalms 90:4 New Century Version (NCV)
To you, a thousand years is like the passing of a day, or like a few hours in the night.
Psalms 90:12-15 New Century Version (NCV)
Teach us how short our lives really are so that we may be wise. LORD, how long before you return and show kindness to your servants? Fill us with your love every morning. Then we will sing and rejoice all our lives. We have seen years of trouble. Now give us as much joy as you gave us sorrow.
Psalms 90:4 American Standard Version (ASV)

Psalms 90:12-15 American Standard Version (ASV)

Psalms 90:12-15 New International Version (NIV)
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, LORD! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants. Psalms 90:12-15 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So teach us to number our days, That we may cultivate and bring to You a heart of wisdom. ¶Turn, O LORD [from Your fierce anger]; how long will it be? Be compassionate toward Your servants—revoke Your sentence. O satisfy us with Your lovingkindness in the morning [now, before we grow older], That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad in proportion to the days You have afflicted us, And the years we have suffered evil.
Psalms 90:4 New Living Translation (NLT)
For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.
Psalms 90:12-15 New Living Translation (NLT)
Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. O LORD, come back to us! How long will you delay? Take pity on your servants! Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good.
Psalms 90:4 The Passion Translation (TPT)
One thousand years pass before your eyes like yesterday that quickly faded away, like a night’s sleep soon forgotten.
Psalms 90:12-15 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction. Return to us again, O God! How much longer will it take until you show us your abundant compassion? Let the sunrise of your love end our dark night. Break through our clouded dawn again! Only you can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days. We’ve been overwhelmed with grief; come now and overwhelm us with gladness. Replace our years of trouble with decades of delight.
