How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?

Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.

O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame? How long will you love vain words and seek after lies? Selah

Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah

How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? Interlude

Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude

How long, exalted ones,  will my honor be insulted?  How long will you love what is worthless  and pursue a lie? Selah

Be angry  and do not sin;  reflect in your heart while on your bed and be silent.  Selah

O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah

Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

You rabble—how long do I put up with your scorn? How long will you lust after lies? How long will you live crazed by illusion?

Complain if you must, but don’t lash out. Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking. Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.

¶You sons of man, how long will my honor be treated as an insult? How long will you love what is worthless and strive for a lie? Selah

¶Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah

¶O sons of men, how long will my honor and glory be [turned into] shame? How long will you [my enemies] love worthless (vain, futile) things and seek deception and lies? Selah.

¶Tremble [with anger or fear], and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed and be still [reflect on your sin and repent of your rebellion]. [Eph 4:26] Selah.

You men, how long will you try to turn my honor into shame? How long will you love what is worthless and search for what is deceptive? (Selah)

Tremble with fear and do not sin! Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! (Selah)
