Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil. Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.

Even on his bed he makes malicious plans.  He sets himself on a path that is not good, and he does not reject evil.  LORD, your faithful love reaches to heaven, your faithfulness to the clouds.

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil. Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil. Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

The God-rebel tunes in to sedition— all ears, eager to sin. He has no regard for God, he stands insolent before him. He has smooth-talked himself into believing That his evil will never be noticed. Words gutter from his mouth, dishwater dirty. Can’t remember when he did anything decent. Every time he goes to bed, he fathers another evil plot. When he’s loose on the streets, nobody’s safe. He plays with fire and doesn’t care who gets burned. God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.

He plans wrongdoing on his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not reject or despise evil. ¶Your lovingkindness and graciousness, O LORD, extend to the skies, Your faithfulness [reaches] to the clouds.

He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil. O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds.
