LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed. To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy

By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed. To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy

Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered. I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying

LORD, when you showed your favor, you made me stand like a strong mountain;  when you hid your face, I was terrified.  LORD, I called to you; I sought favor from my Lord

LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. I cried to thee, O LORD; And unto the LORD I made supplication.

When things were going great I crowed, “I’ve got it made. I’m GOD’s favorite. He made me king of the mountain.” Then you looked the other way and I fell to pieces. I called out to you, GOD; I laid my case before you: “Can you sell me for a profit when I’m dead? auction me off at a cemetery yard sale? When I’m ‘dust to dust’ my songs and stories of you won’t sell. So listen! and be kind! Help me out of this!”

LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong; You hid Your face, I was dismayed. To You, LORD, I called, And to the Lord I pleaded for compassion

By Your favor and grace, O LORD, you have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was horrified. I called to You, O LORD, And to the Lord I made supplication (specific request).

O LORD, in your good favor you made me secure. Then you rejected me and I was terrified. To you, O LORD, I cried out; I begged the Lord for mercy
