Proverbs 15:32 He who neglects and ignores instruction and discipline despises himself, But he who learns from rebuke acquires understanding [and grows in wisdom]. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. Those who refuse correction hate themselves, but those who accept correction gain understanding. He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; But he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding. Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. Refusing constructive criticism shows you have no interest in improving your life, for revelation-insight only comes as you accept correction and the wisdom that it brings.
