A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. Truly the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death. The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die. Proverbs 11:18-21 CSB (Christian Standard Bible)

The wicked person earns an empty wage, but the one who sows righteousness, a true reward.  Genuine righteousness leads to life,  but pursuing evil leads to death.  Those with twisted minds are detestable to the  LORD, but those with blameless conduct are his delight.  Be assured  that a wicked person will not go unpunished,  but the offspring of the righteous will escape.

Proverbs 11:18-21 KJV (King James Version)

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: But to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. As righteousness tendeth to life: So he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: But such as are upright in their way are his delight. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Proverbs 11:18-21 NKJV (New King James Version)

The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward. As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death. Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, But the blameless in their ways are His delight. Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.

Proverbs 11:18-21 MSG (The Message)

Bad work gets paid with a bad check; good work gets solid pay. Take your stand with God’s loyal community and live, or chase after phantoms of evil and die. GOD can’t stand deceivers, but oh how he relishes integrity. Count on this: The wicked won’t get off scot-free, and God’s loyal people will triumph.

Proverbs 11:18-21 NASB2020 (New American Standard Bible - NASB)

A wicked person earns deceptive wages, But one who sows righteousness gets a true reward. One who is steadfast in righteousness attains life, But one who pursues evil attains his own death. Proverbs 11:18-21 AMP (Amplified Bible)

The wicked man earns deceptive wages, But he who sows righteousness and lives his life with integrity will have a true reward [that is both permanent and satisfying]. [Hos 10:12; Gal 6:8, 9; James 3:18] He who is steadfast in righteousness attains life, But he who pursues evil attains his own death. The perverse in heart are repulsive and shamefully vile to the LORD, But those who are blameless and above reproach in their walk are His delight! Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished, But the descendants of the righteous will be freed.

Proverbs 11:18-21 NET (New English Translation)

The wicked person earns deceitful wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a genuine reward. True righteousness leads to life, but the one who pursues evil pursues it to his own death. The LORD abhors those who are perverse in heart, but those who are blameless in their ways are his delight. Be assured that the evil person will certainly be punished, but the descendants of the righteous will not suffer unjust judgment.
