GOD spoke to Moses: “Speak to the People of Israel. Get staffs from them—twelve staffs in all, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write each man’s name on his staff. Start with Aaron; write Aaron’s name on the staff of Levi and then proceed with the rest, a staff for the leader of each ancestral tribe. Now lay them out in the Tent of Meeting in front of The Testimony where I keep appointments with you. What will happen next is this: The staff of the man I choose will sprout. I’m going to put a stop to this endless grumbling by the People of Israel against you.”

Moses spoke to the People of Israel. Their leaders handed over twelve staffs, one for the leader of each tribe. And Aaron’s staff was one of them. Moses laid out the staffs before GOD in the Tent of Testimony.

The People of Israel said to Moses, “We’re as good as dead. This is our death sentence. Anyone who even gets close to The Dwelling of GOD is as good as dead. Are we all doomed?”

And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?

and write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi; for there is one rod for the head of each of their fathers’ households.

So Moses deposited the rods before the LORD in the tent of the testimony.

Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD, must die. Are we to perish completely?”

on the stick from Levi, write Aaron’s name. There must be one stick for the head of each tribe.

Moses put them before the LORD in the Tent of the Agreement.

Anyone who even comes near the Holy Tent of the LORD will die. Will we all die?”

And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers’ houses.

And Moses laid up the rods before Jehovah in the tent of the testimony.

Every one that cometh near, that cometh near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah, dieth: shall we perish all of us?

On the staff of Levi write Aaron’s name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe.

Moses placed the staffs before the LORD in the tent of the covenant law.

Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the LORD will die. Are we all going to die?”

And you shall write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi. For there shall be one rod for the head of each father’s house.

And Moses placed the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

Whoever even comes near the tabernacle of the LORD must die. Shall we all utterly die?”

and write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi [his ancestor]; for there is one rod for the head of each of their fathers’ households.

So Moses deposited the rods before the LORD in the Tent of the Testimony (tabernacle).

Everyone who approaches, who approaches the tabernacle of the LORD, must die. Are we to perish completely?”

Inscribe Aaron’s name on the staff of the tribe of Levi, for there must be one staff for the leader of each ancestral tribe.

Moses placed the staffs in the LORD’s presence in the Tabernacle of the Covenant.

Everyone who even comes close to the Tabernacle of the LORD dies. Are we all doomed to die?”

and write Aaron’s name on the staff of Levi. For there shall be one staff for the head of each fathers’ house.

And Moses deposited the staffs before the LORD in the tent of the testimony.

Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the LORD, shall die. Are we all to perish?”
