Leviticus 19:13-19
Leviticus 19:13-19 The Message (MSG)
“Don’t exploit your friend or rob him. “Don’t hold back the wages of a hired hand overnight. “Don’t curse the deaf; don’t put a stumbling block in front of the blind; fear your God. I am GOD. “Don’t pervert justice. Don’t show favoritism to either the poor or the great. Judge on the basis of what is right. “Don’t spread gossip and rumors. “Don’t just stand by when your neighbor’s life is in danger. I am GOD. “Don’t secretly hate your neighbor. If you have something against him, get it out into the open; otherwise you are an accomplice in his guilt. “Don’t seek revenge or carry a grudge against any of your people. “Love your neighbor as yourself. I am GOD. “Keep my decrees. “Don’t mate two different kinds of animals. “Don’t plant your fields with two kinds of seed. “Don’t wear clothes woven of two kinds of material.
Leviticus 19:13-19 King James Version (KJV)
Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD. Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
Leviticus 19:13-19 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning. You shall not curse a deaf man, nor place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your God; I am the LORD. ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly. You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the LORD. ‘You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD. ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.
Leviticus 19:13-19 New Century Version (NCV)
“ ‘You must not cheat your neighbor or rob him. You must not keep a hired worker’s salary all night until morning. You must not curse a deaf person or put something in front of a blind person to make him fall. But you must respect your God. I am the LORD. “ ‘Be fair in your judging. You must not show special favor to poor people or great people, but be fair when you judge your neighbor. You must not spread false stories against other people, and you must not do anything that would put your neighbor’s life in danger. I am the LORD. “ ‘You must not hate your fellow citizen in your heart. If your neighbor does something wrong, tell him about it, or you will be partly to blame. Forget about the wrong things people do to you, and do not try to get even. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am the LORD. “ ‘Obey my laws. You must not mate two different kinds of cattle or sow your field with two different kinds of seed. You must not wear clothing made from two different kinds of material mixed together.
