But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus

But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus

But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.

But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. 

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus   

but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus

Every priest goes to work at the altar each day, offers the same old sacrifices year in, year out, and never makes a dent in the sin problem. As a priest, Christ made a single sacrifice for sins, and that was it! Then he sat down right beside God and waited for his enemies to cave in. It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process. The Holy Spirit confirms this: This new plan I’m making with Israel isn’t going to be written on paper, isn’t going to be chiseled in stone; This time “I’m writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts.” He concludes, I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins. Once sins are taken care of for good, there’s no longer any need to offer sacrifices for them.

So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.

but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus

whereas Christ, having offered the one sacrifice [the all-sufficient sacrifice of Himself] for sins for all time, SAT DOWN [signifying the completion of atonement for sin] AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD [the position of honor]

Therefore, believers, since we have confidence and full freedom to enter the Holy Place [the place where God dwells] by [means of] the blood of Jesus

But when this priest had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, he sat down at the right hand of God
