Then Jacob continued on his journey and came to the land of the eastern peoples.

Jacob asked the shepherds, “My brothers, where are you from?” “We’re from Harran,” they replied.

Then Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the people of the east.

Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where do you come from?” They said, “We are from Haran.”

Then Jacob hurried on, finally arriving in the land of the east.

Jacob went over to the shepherds and asked, “Where are you from, my friends?” “We are from Haran,” they answered.

Jacob resumed his journey  and went to the eastern country. 

Jacob asked the men at the well, “My brothers! Where are you from? ” “We’re from Haran,” they answered.

Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.

And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

So Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the people of the East.

And Jacob said to them, “My brethren, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Haran.”

Jacob set out again on his way to the people of the east. He noticed a well out in an open field with three flocks of sheep bedded down around it. This was the common well from which the flocks were watered. The stone over the mouth of the well was huge. When all the flocks were gathered, the shepherds would roll the stone from the well and water the sheep; then they would return the stone, covering the well.

Jacob said, “Hello friends. Where are you from?” They said, “We’re from Haran.”

Then Jacob set out on his journey, and went to the land of the people of the east.

Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Haran.”

Then Jacob went on his way and came to the land of the people of the East [near Haran].

Jacob said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Haran.”

So Jacob moved on and came to the land of the eastern people.

Jacob asked them, “My brothers, where are you from?” They replied, “We’re from Haran.”
