Then Abraham complained to Abimelek about a well of water that Abimelek’s servants had seized.

He replied, “Accept these seven lambs from my hand as a witness that I dug this well.”

When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized

He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this may be a witness for me that I dug this well.”

Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well that Abimelech’s servants had taken by force from Abraham’s servants.

Abraham replied, “Please accept these seven lambs to show your agreement that I dug this well.”

But Abraham complained to Abimelech because of the well that Abimelech’s servants had seized.

He replied, “You are to accept the seven ewe lambs from me so that this act  will serve as my witness that I dug this well.”

And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

Then Abraham rebuked Abimelech because of a well of water which Abimelech’s servants had seized.

And he said, “You will take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that they may be my witness that I have dug this well.”

At the same time, Abraham confronted Abimelech over the matter of a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had taken. Abimelech said, “I have no idea who did this; you never told me about it; this is the first I’ve heard of it.”

Abraham said, “It means that when you accept these seven sheep, you take it as proof that I dug this well, that it’s my well.”

But Abraham complained to Abimelech because of the well of water which the servants of Abimelech had seized.

He said, “You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand so that it may be a witness for me, that I dug this well.”

Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well of water which the servants of Abimelech had [violently] seized [from him]

Abraham said, “You are to accept these seven ewe lambs from me as a witness for me, that I dug this well.”

But Abraham lodged a complaint against Abimelech concerning a well that Abimelech’s servants had seized.

He replied, “You must take these seven ewe lambs from my hand as legal proof that I dug this well.”
