Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.

Then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust from the ground  and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils,  and the man became a living being.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper corresponding  to him.”

Then the LORD God made the rib he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

At the time GOD made Earth and Heaven, before any grasses or shrubs had sprouted from the ground—GOD hadn’t yet sent rain on Earth, nor was there anyone around to work the ground (the whole Earth was watered by underground springs)—GOD formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive—a living soul!

GOD said, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.” So GOD formed from the dirt of the ground all the animals of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the Man to see what he would name them. Whatever the Man called each living creature, that was its name. The Man named the cattle, named the birds of the air, named the wild animals; but he didn’t find a suitable companion.

GOD put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. GOD then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man.

Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

And the LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.

then the LORD God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. [1 Cor 15:45-49]

Now the LORD God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.”

And the rib which the LORD God had taken from the man He made (fashioned, formed) into a woman, and He brought her and presented her to the man.

The LORD God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”

Then the LORD God made a woman from the part he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
