You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

Therefore, putting away  lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor,   , because we are members of one another.

But that’s no life for you. You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.

What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself.

Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit

Therefore, ridding yourselves of falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE , because we are parts of one another.

All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice.

that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires

Therefore, rejecting all falsehood [whether lying, defrauding, telling half-truths, spreading rumors, any such as these], SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are all parts of one another [and we are all parts of the body of Christ]. [Zech 8:16]

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence].

You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires

Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor , for we are members of one another.

You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.
