1 Timothy 3:10
1 Timothy 3:10 The Passion Translation (TPT)
And each of them must be found trustworthy according to these standards before they are given the responsibility to minister as servant-leaders without blame.
1 Timothy 3:8-13 The Message (MSG)
The same goes for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things. Let them prove themselves first. If they show they can do it, take them on. No exceptions are to be made for women—same qualifications: serious, dependable, not sharp-tongued, not overfond of wine. Servants in the church are to be committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith.
1 Timothy 3:10 King James Version (KJV)
And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
1 Timothy 3:10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach.
1 Timothy 3:10 New Century Version (NCV)
Test them first. Then let them serve as deacons if you find nothing wrong in them.
1 Timothy 3:10 American Standard Version (ASV)
And let these also first be proved; then let them serve as deacons, if they be blameless.
1 Timothy 3:10 New International Version (NIV)
They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.
1 Timothy 3:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless.
1 Timothy 3:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
These men must first be tested; then if they are found to be blameless and beyond reproach [in their Christian lives], let them serve as deacons.
