So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the LORD for him.”

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.

And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the LORD.”

For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him.

and in due time she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, for she said, “I asked the LORD for him.”

I asked the LORD to give me this boy, and he has granted my request.

After some time,  Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel,  because she said, “I requested him from the LORD.”

I prayed for this boy,  and since the LORD gave me what I asked him for

Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him

Before the year was out, Hannah had conceived and given birth to a son. She named him Samuel, explaining, “I asked GOD for him.”

They first butchered the bull, then brought the child to Eli. Hannah said, “Excuse me, sir. Would you believe that I’m the very woman who was standing before you at this very spot, praying to GOD? I prayed for this child, and GOD gave me what I asked for. And now I have dedicated him to GOD. He’s dedicated to GOD for life.” Then and there, they worshiped GOD.
