The conspirators came and found him praying, asking God for help. They went straight to the king and reminded him of the royal decree that he had signed. “Did you not,” they said, “sign a decree forbidding anyone to pray to any god or man except you for the next thirty days? And anyone caught doing it would be thrown into the lions’ den?” “Absolutely,” said the king. “Written in stone, like all the laws of the Medes and Persians.” Then they said, “Daniel, one of the Jewish exiles, ignores you, O king, and defies your decree. Three times a day he prays.” At this, the king was very upset and tried his best to get Daniel out of the fix he’d put him in. He worked at it the whole day long.

A devotional inspired by RESPECT, written by Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
Temptation is not a new question, but rather an old question which is faced across cultures. Tackling temptation will require you to understand the source of your temptation. When one gives in to temptation things can get bad quickly. Join me to explore the 3 sources of temptations singled out by St. Thomas Aquinas as implacable enemies of the soul and develop a strategy to overcome them.
Have you ever felt like your life is stuck in a place that looks nothing like the dreams God gave you? You’re not alone. In this 3-day devotional, we’ll reflect on a key moment in Joseph’s story to discover how God uses the empty places in our lives to prepare us for purpose. Whether you’re facing opposition, navigating uncertainty, or struggling with the weight of waiting, these devotionals will encourage you to trust God’s process. Your low place is not the end; it’s a step on the journey to your destiny.

This four-day devotional helps us practice the lifelong exercise of turning from pride to humility, rebellion to obedience, and fear to empowerment, turning our gaze from our earthly Babylons toward the heavenly Jerusalem.
