Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. * * * Wives, understand and support your husbands by submitting to them in ways that honor the Master. Husbands, go all out in love for your wives. Don’t take advantage of them. Children, do what your parents tell you. This delights the Master no end. Parents, don’t come down too hard on your children or you’ll crush their spirits. Servants, do what you’re told by your earthly masters. And don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.

Raising responsible kids who are self-motivated and hard workers can be difficult when all they want to do is sit in front of a TV or play videogames. Rebecca Gregoire Lindenbach, author of the book Why I Didn’t Rebel, interviewed dozens of young people and, together with psychology research, found some common themes among families with kids who didn’t rebel, and families with kids who did. This 3-day action plan will give you the run-down on raising responsible teens. To find out more or purchase the book, visit http://amzn.to/2wipiOj

Have you felt cut back recently? Pruned? Pieces of you taken away? These audio-guided meditations will help you understand why God often seems to prune us back even in the cold winter days of our life. And remember that His pruning will soon result in you bearing more fruit, and even richer and finer fruit, soon and for His glory.
Are you afraid of snakes or spiders? Or emotional triggers like rejection or love? God designed fear to keep you from harm. A brain neuron called the amygdala sends signals to “be alert!” The theme of these guided audio meditations is conquering unhealthy fear. The first meditation explores overcoming past worries. The following reflection faces fears of the unknown. The third meditation addresses fears of evil.
