In our politically charged environment, especially as we approach election season, many Christians find themselves wrestling with how to engage in the political sphere while staying true to their faith. This challenge is not new - believers throughout history have grappled with similar questions. However, by examining Scripture and reflecting on our role in God's redemptive plan, we can find guidance for our present moment.

We have many roles within our lives such as being a parent, child, student, leader, etc. A lot of the time, our roles are interwoven, and navigating life may become overwhelming when our roles conflict with each other. It is important to remember that our primary role as Christians is to follow Jesus. This 3 day devotional explains how the primary role as a Christ-follower influences the whole of our lives.

The vocations represented in the characters of Christmas can teach us a lot about God and how our work is a means of co-laboring with “the newborn King.” In this four-day plan, we’ll look at the vocations of John the Baptist, Caesar Augustus, Matthew, and the famed Star of Bethlehem to draw out applications for our own work today.

Jesus’ call for us to love our neighbours as ourselves includes people of other faiths, even if this puts us at risk of danger and shame. The Bible is clear that at times, the love of Christ may call us to suffer, even die for the sake of the gospel. Yet still we realize that our love should reach out to all people, including those scattered around the world.
